  • Head south on N Robinson Ave toward W Sheridan Ave
  • Turn left onto W Reno Ave
  • Take the 1st right onto S E K Gaylord Blvd
  • Continue onto S Shields Blvd
  • Take the Intersate 40 W ramp
  • Merge onto I-40 W
  • Take exit 147A on the left to merge onto I-44 W/OK-3 E toward Lawton/Dallas
  • Slight right onto I-44 W (signs for Interstate 44 W/US 62 W/Lawton)
  • Partial toll road
  • Keep right to continue toward I-44 W
  • Toll road
  • Merge onto I-44 W
  • Partial toll road
  • Entering Texas
  • Continue onto US-281 S/U.S. 287 S
  • Take the exit on the left onto TX-79 S/US-281 S toward Jacksboro/Archer City
  • Continue to follow US-281 S
  • Slight right onto State Hwy 16 S
  • Turn left onto Elm St
  • Take the 1st right onto TX-67 S/7th St
  • Continue to follow TX-67 S
  • Turn right onto US-180 W/E Walker St
  • Turn left onto US-183 S/S Breckenridge Ave
  • Continue to follow US-183 S
  • Turn left onto US-183 S/Conrad Hilton Blvd
  • Continue to follow US-183 S
  • Turn left onto I-20 Frontage E
  • Take the 1st right onto Co Rd 176
  • Continue East on I-20 Service Rd about a mile to top of the hill
  • Turn right onto CR 176 (at the house) – go 1-1/4 miles
  • Pass the two short water towers on the left, go another 1/4 mile   Slow down and look for the black mailbox on the right. #401 Stop!
  • Turn Left – see the white Alcove Gate


Slow Down while driving around the Alcove – 5 mph on Alcove Roads – we have critters and children running around Not Paying Attention to what the vehicles are doing, they are just happy to see you!

Stay to the left and take the road which goes in front of the metal barn.  You can pull up close to your campsite and unload,  but please be courteous with others.

Afterwards, please move your car to the parking area behind the barn. There are areas available for vehicle camping close to the tent camping area just off of the road. Ask us if you are unsure where to park.   Parking is “first come, first served”.
